Peter Sanders is the world's most renowned and well-loved Muslim photographer. In this presentation, Peter will be speaking about his upcoming book ‘Meeting with Mountains’ which is a lifetime project, seeking out the true saints and sages of the Islamic world.
Over the last 45 years, Peter has been documenting saints, scholars, and men of God from around the world, many of whom have never previously been photographed. It shows the true spiritual side of Islam as never portrayed before, making it a unique piece of work.
Following the presentation, there will be a short video featuring Shaykh Hamza and Sami Yusuf.
Peter Sanders began his photography career in the mid-1960s covering London's seminal rock and roll scene until his travels through India and the Muslim world brought him to the Islamic faith. It's been said that "he captures the spiritual beauty of creation itself." Peter Sanders' own deep commitment to and love of traditional Islamic culture has brought him into intimate contact with people and places few photographers reach.
